Great people, Great food, Great booze, Great time!
We had our son's baptism party there. The food was great! We went with the casual dinner package and it was perfect, plus they put all sauces and cheese on the side for us. They also included drinks in the cost for a little more, which was also great. We did the Celtic room, which has outdoor seating, plus we had 80 people and, unfortunately, it was a little crowded when everyone was first there due to a lack of seating on my part (though I thought people would sit outside, but with no umbrellas for shade, it was too uncomfo... read more
The waiter was amazing -- able to remember, correctly, about 6 different orders. The food was good, and the band was wonderful!

Unlike a real Grandpa would have, they have no loyalty to their staff...some of whom have worked at the restaurant for almost 20 years. While the new renovations make the restaurant look nice, the heart of the place is more lacking than ever. Separately, the food is okay (3 outta 5) but not good enough for them to disregard loyal staff and the customers who came to the restaurant specifically to visit them. I don't imagine this place surviving the next few years with that attitude. Time will tell, I guess!
Since they let go the bartender via voice mail.... won't be coming anymore.. Patty worked there for 20 years and they fire her via voice mail. She was more than your normal bartender, she cared about her customers making them feel at home... as well as caring about their business
