I wasn't impressed with this hospital in La Grande yesterday, 9/12/26. First off, I talked to a couple of nurses over their phone about my dad, who was a patient at the hospital, and they were not friendly and very snooty. Not to mention, I do live an hour and a half away. When I got to the hospital, it was like a ghost town—nobody at the desk, no nurses insight, and only a few lights on in the emergency room. I had an emergency appendectomy while camping in the Eagle Cap Wilderness and the Emergency Room staff were efficient and friendly.

I was hit by a car while riding my bike and I was in extreme pain, most of the staff was exceptional. The only complaint is that I have was that the Doctor would not prescribe me any pain medication because of a pain medication contract that I have with my PCP. I to endure 12 hours if excruciating pain until I was able to get ahold of my PCP, who did prescribe me some pain medication. The Doctors and the pharmacy industry created the opioid epidemic, ni we they are hesitant to prescribe any opioid even in small amounts. Extr... read more
