Great View This hotel has a wonderful view of the ocean. The rooms are elegant, and there is plenty of room to keep your luggage. They do not mess up on their wake up calls and their room service is prompt and delicious. This is an excellent hotel right in the middle of town if you are willing to pay a little extra for a great vacation.

a nice place for conferences Besides being a wonderful spot to stay as a guest, this is also a great place to hold receptions and small conferences. My husband's office has a dinner here every year, and it is a lovely place for an outside cocktail party and then dinner in the dining area. There are great views from some of the rooms, and you will also enjoy the restaurant attached to the hotel.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel! We stayed here for our daughter's wedding on the beach. We had several rooms, and everyone was so happy with the hotel. It is historic and beautiful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Kudos to the bell staff for helping so much with our large truck and trailer, as parking is tight. They were also willing to help with transportation to anything close by on their golf cart for those that couldn't walk easily. Great Stay We stayed 2 days at the Grande Colonial. The location is perfect for walking around La Jolla Village or down to the beach and along the seafront. The restaurant Nine Ten is pricey but highly recommended (we didn't eat there)

This is my favorite place to stay in San Diego. The front desk attendants are very personable and were attentive to every need I had. The rooms are beautiful old colonial style and very clean. Its like staying at a second home

Great Location! – My boyfriend and I had a most excellent stay here! We checked in on this past Sunday and stayed until this Tuesday. From our arrival we were greeted by Benny, the Bell Captain who along with the rest of his Bell staff took care of us from "go". We were allowed to check in early to a Junior Suite 102 which had a beautiful view of the Ocean located at the end of the street.
