Grand River Hospital Withdrawal Management Center is a lifesaver for whoever want to get out of their addiction, be it alcohol or other substance addiction. The staff are super helpful, considerate and understanding. The facility was opened in 2000 so about 25 years and not so old or dated. They initially put the client in observation for about 24 hours and then let into the main area. There are mens wing and womens wing with bedrooms and washrooms. Amazing staff, place saved my life, your going to have the staff your "not a fan of" but that's life isn't it. Food is good, groups are beyond helpful. It works if you want it to work.

I was medically detoxed there, and that was nice but after that, I was completely ignored by staff, and in fact, when I was in the observation area, I was pretty much ignored by Staff there, too. when they finally paid a little attention to me, it was to accuse me of not attending mandatory AA meetings. I was late one day because I took too long in the shower and then the next day the last day I was there I got lost on the way to the meeting and they were getting me in trouble for getting lost and accusing me of lying to the... read more

These staff have forgot the struggle. Most of these staff are.terrible. doing nothing and saying there crazy busy when there on there phone in the bubble of there's.. sad. No wonder the success rate.is so low.. crazy.
