First timer here! The ribs and spicy slaw rocked my world. I'm not even a big fan of beans but loved their Peruvian baked beans. Mmm Mmm MMMF! Will definitely be back.
There were 5 of us. We had sandwiches of beef brisket, pulled pork, lamb and turkey plus potato salad and black bean salad. My sandwich was huge and it could have been shared between 2 people with a shred side. The portions are substantial. The turkey was in slices and was very flavourful. The pulled pork was moist and tender. The buns were very good as well. You eat outdoors at picnic tables.
I've had Memphis bbq, KC, Carolina, Texas and bbq from all over the south - this place is the real deal!
Everything about this place was AWESOME! The service was courteous and prompt, the smell of the wood and fire and cooked meats was intoxicating and the food melted in mouth like melting butter. The portions was huge and well worth every penny. Be prepared to wait in line and grab a pint at Thirn Street while you wait. I’m be back again soon!
Best BBQ in San Diego. If you love Texas BBQ, this is the place to go.
