I've been to the Grand Lodge on multiple occasions and I have always been pleased. Great staff. Loved the rooms. Soaking pool is awesome. I had my wedding at the Children's Cottage and I was incredibly pleased.
The people were amazing, food and drinks so good, and the building was so fun to explore. Soaking pool was on point though very busy. If you don’t have a passport get one, because it’s worth it. The only reason I am docking stars is because even though this is a great place to explore or hang, its not the place for a cozy restful weekend. It was loud all hours of the night, the walls are super thin (which they note on the website) but it’s pretty bad. Celebrated 34th anniversary, dinner was wonderful, service was great, our room in the basement not so great, wasn't fond of plumbing pipes overhead, hearing everyone's toilet flushing. Did nt have time time use spa features, (11 checkout TIMe) we enjoyed ourselves nice atmosphere, maybe next time we can use more of what there is to offer.
Strengths: The front desk workers were very helpful and get 5 stars. The building, grounds, and restrooms get 5 stars for cleanliness. 5 stars for the hidden rooms. 5 stars for preserving the integrity of the property. 5 stars for the complimentary ear plugs and loaner bathrobes. 5 stars for bringing McDougall in to play. 5 stars for the servers and bartender in Pat's Corner evening of 1/27.
