Thankfully it is now a lovely place for a romantic getaway. Their rooms have an old-worldly charm to it and most of them have a fireplace to enhance the coziness. Great vibe, comfortable well-appointed rooms, friendly team, very clean, lively bar restaurant with good food/libations, awesome location - very pedestrian-friendly. Overall awesome � Highly recommended

A great place for dinner or for a glass of wine and appetizers. Friendly, attentive staff with an adjacent charming hotel. It's a place we always visit when we come to SLO.
Probably the best hotel we've stayed at in the USA in years. Quirky and stylish. Excellent service - wish had more time there as just an overnight stay en route to SF. Hope to return next year if we attend any conferences in California.
Only because they're not dog friendly. Good news is every other patio in Downtown is. Skip this place if you are traveling with your Dog.
