Love Dr. Kuhlman, True Class Act – One of the hardest parts of moving is finding a new Vet, human doctors and a hair salon right? I finally found a Vet I loved! Unfortunately we had to move and we miss Dr. Kuhlman so much now. It will be hard to find someone of his caliber in New Orleans. He is the best Vet we've had and NY was our 3rd city in 3 years! My grandfather was a Vet and I grew up with large and small animals... I know a professional when I see one! He is truly a class act! PS He is an expert in traveling to the EU... read more
dr. kuhlman is unique – Last year, my mother passed away, and Luke, my cat (who is 15 and going strong) started falling. Dr. Kuhlman diagnosed that Luke was picking up on my grief and trying to absorb it for me. He said "little buddy, you can let go of that" and Luke was fine! So, I think Dr. Kuhlman has a spiritual approach, which aids the medical diagnosis.
Dr. kuhlman is the best – Yes the front desk staff is very busy and overwhelmed, but it's all worth it to receive the excellent care that Dr. Kuhlman provides. Many years ago, my 9yo cat became very ill w/ liver faliure and he saved her life! Dr. Kuhlman was the 3rd vet i went to. The first said to me since i did not have a lot of money that my treatment options were limited and that since my cat was 9years old he was suggesting, not in so many words, that i put her to sleep. the second vet wanted to do a liver biopsy which ... read more
Slow Service – My cat needed a follow-up visit, so I tried taking her to this vet. I have no complaints about the vet's capabilities, but I did not like having to wait for a very long time, when I had a scheduled appointment. I waited in the waiting room for almost an hour after my scheduled time.
Excellent Vet and Staff Who Care – I have been taking my dog Max to Dr Kuhlman since he was a puppy five years ago. He went out of his way to help me with travel documents when I wanted to take Max overseas and is very thorough (without going overboard) when doing checkups and treating problems. The staff are busy but always make time to say hello to Max. If it's busy, you'll have to be a little patient but I don't have a problem with this as I have always received good service. The fees seem reasonable also.
Why bother? – Honestly, the service is suspect from the get-go --- unless you like being put on hold, then hung up on which just happened to me. If something is seriously wrong with your pet, guess what? You will have to take it someplace else anyway since they can't do anything at these tiny places. All animal hospitals hire the dumbest front desk help they can find so they can pay them 5cents an hour, this is true all over Manhattan so be prepared for a moronic attitude-filled adventure. ASPCA or the AMC are the best bets.
Wonderful Vets – I recently moved from the Upper East Side with a 3-year-old cat and a new kitten. I was told that these vets were so caring and skilled, and boy are they! I was told that Dr. Feibush was the cat specialist, so she has been treating my kittes. I never have to wait to get an appointment, and I wait only a few minutes in the waiting room. I feel that my cats are getting fabulous care by wonderful and loving doctors.
Great Vets, Surly Staff – The vets are great - they are knowledgeable and really care about your animals. I had a problem with my new puppy, and Dr. Kuhlman called me back in the middle of the night. Dr. Feibush kisses my puppy! HOWEVER, the office staff is overworked - as a result, their snarky attitudes make it impossible to deal with them. I'm sorry to bother you, but could you PLEASE sign and return the insurance form I sent to you for the THIRD TIME? They *lost* the claim form I left with them when my pup was spayed. 2 ... read more
These people really care about your animals – I love this place, we have just got a new puppy and the vet that has seen him all along is a star. The staff at the front desk are sweet, genuinely care about the animals and when my pup had a bad reaction to an injection, they got me back in and the vet saw me immediately. I have never had to wait either on the phone or in the hospital, and the followup i have gotten (the vet, Alec Thomson called to confirm dosages and to see how our puppy was getting on) has been fantastic. I r... read more
