We hired Phil back in 2003 or 2004 when we lived in Wheaton. His price was higher than the other estimates, but we chose him because we could tell he had a lot of integrity. Plus, because of the tree’s location, he couldn’t use a bucket truck. He had to climb the tree to remove it. STAY AWAY from Graf Tree Care from Batavia. Very disappointed with this company. They took over five days to cut just a few branches, and the work was poorly done. To cover up their lack of experience, they dress the crew in hard hats, but that doesn’t make up for the damage they caused. They destroyed three of our trees due to improper trimming. We have used Graf Tree Care for many years to maintain our trees and they always do a wonderful job. Everyone at Graf is friendly and they are always willing to listen to requests, answer questions, and provide assistance. It's easy to see that Chris and his team genuinely enjoy their jobs. ISA certified arborist Chris Scott stopped by and gave us an assessment and competitive quote. We decided to use Graf from among three services based upon Chris' visit and he and his crew definitely exceeded our expectations, a very professional company. Tree trimming services are a joke. The crews leave behind so many trimmings in the yard and left a mess along the parkway from the chipper. Several homeowners complaints. Association's just spent $45k in grass repairs completed 2 months prior to their arrival and they decided to run through the repaired areas with the bucket truck. They had many options to go around the repaired areas and decided to run right through them instead.
