He saved the life of a puppy we rescued..had bled out from a small puncture wound in her ear from another puppy nipping her...and he gave her a blood transfusion ..twice...at a most reasonable price too! Caring..compassionate..Wish he were "training" several young vets for our next generation!
I remember accompanying my mom when she would take our 16 year old Boston Terrier, and then later on out 18 year old Chihuahua terrier mix, to Dr. Gradous and how she credited him with keeping both dogs alive for so long. Now that I hear Dr. Gradous is still seeing 'patients' I am planning to make the trip from Atlanta over to have my latest little 'rugrat' receive his veterinary care from the individual who was our family veterinarian beginning about 55 years ago!

Years ago I brought my Beagle to see Dr Gradous because she had no get up and go, after two other vets told me she just was overweight and needed to loose weight. I put her on a diet and nothing changed (she did loose weight), she still was sluggish. Dr Gradous took one look at her, felt her coat and proclaimed, "She has Hypothyroidism". He put her on thyroid medication and within one week she was back to chasing the opossums in our yard! The man is a genius.
