The only reason I've never reported this place for poor conditions is because my friend works there and I don't want her to lose her job. Opposed to what their website says, there are no trained nurses on staff. Recently they had a resident who required the care of a nurse for maintaining an IV, but they left that to their untrained care givers who clearly weren't comfortable with it. Gracious Living Personal Care Home is a great place, well maintained. Surprised at the negative review from Natasha J. who did not identify itself! Obviously, either a fired staff or agent of a competitor. Gracious Living has a dedicated Activity Director, building has a brand new elevator, brand new heating system (about 1 year old), great staff with up to date training. Gracious Living is the dirtiest place I have ever been to and the staff wear anything they like and basically barely work. They have new owners that have no clue how to run the place and are hell bent on saving money that the residents often eat meals such as hot dogs or anything else that requires a limited amount of funds. The rooms upstairs smell of urine and the residents are left to sleep all day or put in front of the television. The activities person comes a limited number of days a week. Gracious Living is a very clean and well kept Personal Care Home, the staff is absolutely amazing with there kind hearts and gentle dispositions. Very profesional and knowledgeable when it comes to seniors!

Ok- So i had a job interview there and that place is a NIGHTMARE. I wouldnt want my worst enemy to even apply to live there. I applied for a cooks position, and I was MORTIFIED when i saw the kitchen. I work for the county, so I know all about how the kitchen should be kept, and having sticky fly traps hanging from the ceiling is not something I would consider sanitary, not by ANY means. The day I went there they had hot dogs for lunch.....I got there around 4 or so....and the hot dogs were still sitting on the counter in a ... read more

MUST NOT HAVE GOT THE JOB – Wow, was I in shock when reading the comment about Gracious Living, obviously this person has a chip on there shoulder for not being chosen to work there. My Mother has been in Gracious Living for almost 2 years now and I visit her quite often. Every staff member there always looks professional and well groomed, they have a "Chef" (male by the way) who you never see touching ANY food without gloves and always wears a crisp white shirt and chefs hat.
