I just had my virtual intake appointment with Alexis Campbell, PA, and she was wonderful. She was very warm and cared about what I was saying. I absolutely recommend her!
My experience with GPW psychiatry was not good. Jenna Garcia was my psychiatrist. I gave a full comprehensive medical background of all of my psychiatric treatments in the past including the 3 medications that I currently have been taking for 5 years consistently that work well to manage my mental health. I am giving GPW a 1 star as there are not any negative stars - 1 star is much higher than what they actually deserve. I am new to NC and called their office to schedule an appointment with a Psychiatrist. The person on the phone assured me that they were taking on new patients and I let them know that I needed Medication Management specifically - after 1.5 weeks of sending over doctors notes, insurance information and filling out their extensive INTAKE form, they said they could no longer take me on as a new patient. AVOID at all costs. HORRIBLE ! I have never been so disappointed in a "Dr" office in my life. Front desk female is dressed like she going to a sleepover and seemed incredibly annoyed that I came in for my appointment. The provider, "didn't feel like coming in" the office today and I was offered a virtual appointment instead. NOW- this appointment was going to cost me $270 IN ADDITION TO the $500 my insurance was covering for a single hr long appointment.
