Thank you Governor Abbott, I appreciate your diligence and faithfulness to the people of Texas. This "refugee crisis" is not of our making in Texas and not our responsibility to alleviate. Keep up the good work, and God Bless Texas for being a stalwart state who gets it right most of the time.

I'm ashamed to be from Texas today. We are all interconnected and in the past we have opened our state to Katrina victims. Why would refugees be any different? They are fleeing for their life and losing their home. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:31 If we don't help we create new member of ISIS and see repeats of the Paris attacks. Saddened that this office can not see the lives they are disregarding..... Also I tried sending this dire... read more

Thank you for protecting our state from Syrian "refugees". The last thing we need is more tax burden and more potential risk for terrorist activity.

After Kristallnacht--the 1938 Nazi pogrom also known as "the Night of Broken Glass"-- 160,000 German Jews filed for visas to take refuge in the United States. The U.S. shut its doors to what they then called "political refugees." Along with the Great Depression, strong anti-immigrant fervor stirred up fears that Nazis would plant spies among these Jews, the majority of whom were killed in the Holocaust.

I find the actions that are being taken while in his capacity as governor to be deplorable and without knowledge of the law. Trying to override the federal government and court rulings when he has no legal ability to do so. He does not represent the values of the great state of Texas that I have grown up knowing. I only hope that the rest of the country and the world can look past these things and see that he is only temporary and does not represent all of us in the friendly state.
