Awesome Fried Pickles, Candied Walnut Spinach Salad, and Crabcake Sandwich!! Had it once, craved it for 3 days, and had to go back!
Been here several times. The food is delicious and the wait staff very attentive and checked on us often. I had the burger with home fries. The burger was cooked just right and was juicy. The fries were fresh cut and delicious. The only downside is the place is very noisy when busy. This makes it hard to carry on a conversation. Installation of some sound attenuation would help. This place is on my dinner group's list of restaurants we visit each Friday.
Every single time we dine at Gosport Tavern the food and service exceed our expectations. Last night we had the fish and chips. I don't think I've ever had any better. Casey our server recommended a Nineteen Crimes (cool name) Cabernet which was incredible.

Came here for lunch today. Samantha was our server, a very lovely woman. I Had the Fish and Chips and my mother had the Fried Chicken with a side of grit-cakes. OMG the food was amazing! Incredible! My only criticism is that the fries were over done. Other than that everything was absolutely awesome! Will definitely come back!
11/03/16--Eight of us arrived after 9p for a late supper alfresco on the patio. We had super meatloaf with delicious mashers and peas, shrimp and grits, fish and chips, fried oysters, and fried green tomatoes. We all had a great time - easy drink refills and quick service. We love Gosport Tavern! John Rowe, Nathan Clark, Lisa Lucas-Burke, and Elizabeth Psimas.

I liked the menu at Gosport. My Tavern salad was really good and more than I could eat. The blackened crab cake made the salad a perfect meal. Could have been a little less loose but flavorful. My husband had the appetizer made from kettle chips, chicken, cheese, kinda like nachos. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Our waitress was personable. It was a warm pre- fall evening. We will definitely be back. ����
