HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Friendly, knowledgeable sales staff. I was very pleased with the service I received. This was my first time shopping for a fireplace, and had a lot of questions. The woman that helped me was very patient. I left with a lot of good information. I shopped around, but will definitely be going back to make the final purchase.

Hard to believe! – It's hard to believe in this economy that Gordon's would be so unresponsive to questions that come to them especially from customers who've purchased from them in the past. I would go out of town if I had to before I would ever by another product from them. Once you've written the check, you're on your own.

Worst service I have ever encountered – First impression was good but the bad install and the way they dealt with all of the problems afterwards was horrible. Product was faulty and it was like pulling teeth to get them to fix the problem-took 4 MONTHS. Rude and volatile staff!! They don't even deserve 1 star.

Flippant, rude service – Be careful when purchasing from this store. As I had heard many times, but sadly didn't heed the warnings, getting friendly service AFTER your purchase is difficult if not impossible. After sending out installers, 2 times...one of which was a trainee, the job could still not be completed. This was not even the most frustrating part. The story gets most irritating when the installer scheduled yet another two hour window for the following week and somehow the appt. "never got written down" which might ... read more

Be Careful of Ernie, the installer they recommend – We bought our fireplace from Gordon's in August 2009 and had it installed in October 2009. Before we bought the fireplace we had our chimney cleaned and inspected. The chimney inspection recommended we fix the flashing on the roof and a couple other things. When Ernie showed up to give us a bid, he said both install the fireplace and fix the things the chimney inspector recommended for $800. Get in line for an Old World experience – One would think that an established locally owned business would provide that personal touch that you just can't get from the nation-wide chains anymore. But sometimes it doesn't happen. Fireplace doors are a great addition, and some of those offered by Gordons are brilliant in their appearance, at least in the show room. Appearances can be deceiving. Great Local Store, Great Personal Service – New to the area, we were looking for the 'perfect' couch. After visiting several large chains and traveling out to the 'burbs we happened upon Gordon's while driving down Broadway looking for a place to have lunch. Curtious, no pressure service, and a good selection of quality furniture. We chose a Barcalounger couch and matching chair, which were delivered by courteous and professional people on schedule.
