I am a patron of the Capital Theater (wish we got the same films as Ceder Lee) and had a blast Dia de Muertos festival which is a double edged sword event. The crowd was perfect but I fear it will become too popular, like Parade-the-Circle, and impossible to find parking and the like. Stay the course and continue the rejuvenation of a great area that embarrasses the arts
They host a Great Dingus Day Celebration! Fun area of CLE.
Developers need to keep in mind transition space from street to interiors, especially in residential projects. Everyone deserves some space between sidewalk to front door and green spaces need to be preserved. Be pedestrian friendly and remember the attraction of seasonal patios and also the impact of the seasons on such businesses.
I think that the Community Development Committee has it right, make a difference through the arts. The Detroit Shoreway is my favorite Cleveland neighborhood, because of their progressive attitude "A green city on a blue Lake." From the summer sprouts program, to initiatives like Ecovillage & the outreach programs at the Cleveland Public Theatre the Shoreway is leading the way in ideas & attitudes that push Cleveland towards a brighter future.
Thoroughly surprised by how awesome the Dia de los Muertos Festival was, and how well everyone behaved during the event. Had a blast.
