In 1933, Goody's Hardware & Paint opened its doors to the greater New Haven community. As a fourth generation family owned and operated business, Goody's has strived to maintain the feel and varied selection of a "real hardware" store. While Goody's has grown to over 12,000 square feet in size, we have continued to maintain a friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient staff to help eliminate the frustration that often accompanies shopping at home improvement chain stores.

I went to three different stores to find paint colors to match an NFL team’s colors and they were not helpful at all. They told me I would have to track down the color myself. When I went to Goody’s, I came in with a printout of the colors I wanted and Jose was there to help me. He figured out a way to color match from RGB to a format that would work in their system. He was attentive and solved my problem on the spot. Thank you, Goody’s and thank you, Jose, for being innovative and taking the time to find a solution!
I spend a good amount of time there and the staff is always the best. When you just know you need something that’s gonna be impossible to find goody’s has it

Family owned hardware store that has everything you could possibly need. From paint to ladders! Excellent staff! They are really helpful! Highly recommended!
I called goodies this morning and was quoted a reasonable price for my mulch. Half the cost of a local store in north haven. $10 for delivery that came within two hours to my house. The gentleman was friendly and willing to put it wherever I wanted. I appreciate their help and will return. Thank you guys for all you are doing to help keep our community safe right now

Great staff. Great selection of hard to find items and about the nicest most helpful guys you could imagine. Definitely recommend and they carry Jonathan Green lawn fertilizer. Yay!!
