Super clean and organized. The staff was really helpful too.
I went to drop off 4 boxes of donations at 1403 NY Ave. The two gentlemen (one who was very dissmissive) told me they can't lift items out of the car for you. I'm 68 with a torn left rotator cuff. Also, their site says they still accept donations at the South Dakota Ave location even though that store is closed. I have taken donations to that location 3 times since that store location closed. Today (7/19), it is roped off. Goodwill, please do better. Update your website. Hire those who have better attitudes.
Hands down the worst donation experience ever. Employees were so rude and just throwing things. I watched one take one of the containers of things I had dropped off that had several nice items, most breakable, and just take the lid off and dump them. You could hear things shattering. Things that those in need could have used. Just despicable. Take the extra time and take to the donation center in Arlington where you are appreciated! I've been an avid Goodwill thrift store shopper for years! I've bought clothes, shoes, electronics, kitchen essentials, furniture, etc. You need it, Goodwill's got it! The issue now is parking at the new DC store on New York Ave., NE! Where is it?
It was so nice meeting Evelyn!! She was such a breath of fresh air!! Loved this Goodwill experience so much! Thank you for making me smile!
