Nice but small
Goodwill has closed the South Dakota Avenue location. Now you need to go over to New York Avenue for donations and shopping.
The new location is fine, but less room for dropoff to be organized very well due to the small, busy streets in Ivy City. Also, despite what the website says, the workers told me they don't accept area rugs. Recommend calling before hauling any large items there.
Super clean and organized. The staff was really helpful too.
I went to drop off 4 boxes of donations at 1403 NY Ave. The two gentlemen (one who was very dissmissive) told me they can't lift items out of the car for you. I'm 68 with a torn left rotator cuff. Also, their site says they still accept donations at the South Dakota Ave location even though that store is closed. I have taken donations to that location 3 times since that store location closed. Today (7/19), it is roped off. Goodwill, please do better. Update your website. Hire those who have better attitudes.
