Just had a wonderful visit with Dr. Jake. He was very thorough with my Louie and the tech she was very helpful. I am not happy with Bond Vet and I'm willing to give them a try since they helped my fur baby during an urgent care appointment. No up-selling of any test that I am use to from other vets. My fur man is all better.
We decided to leave Small Door in the Navy Yard to try GoodVets Wharf SW because its much closer for us. It started off fine, but then became a frustrating and negative experience: the office is closed most of the week, they seem to have staffing issues, and having anyone get back to us is an ordeal. I've had to call other locations just to get a response. I have emailed the District Manager about our very bad experience, but have not heard back from them. I used to really like this place, but the quality has dropped too much. I booked an appointment to monitor my cat, and the receptionist kept asking me why I was there—even though the same veterinarian had told me she needed follow-up checkups. She spent about 15 minutes questioning me and going over the labs, and I eventually got so tired that I just left. I’m never going back.
Don’t go to this vet, goodvets were my first vet im DC and it seemed like they were ok. At the first appointment it was just a check because I had just gotten my pup and the last check was when he was a puppy. They added all sorts of things to the bill as a “recommendation” that I did not ask for. Upon getting the annual bloodwork the vet came to the conclusion that my dog had “addison’s disease” a chronic kidney disease that can be fatal. Excellent experience overall. Warm, welcome, and efficient service. Staff was generous with their time and answering my questions.
