When I was young and in the Air Force (Viet Name Vet) I had some problems and went to the dentist. After hours and hours and at least 19 shots they finally decided to put me in hospital and take them out that way. Well, since that time and fast forward 35 years I still am very fearful of dentist and pain. Goodis did a root canal on my wife. It was a horrible experience. He believes in pain and must get off inflicting pain on his patients. He won't use anesthesia, only a little Novocain. He sent her home with inadequate pain medication. Her stitches came out that night, she was bleeding profusely, in terrible pain, and he was unreachable. His supposed answering service hung up as soon as it answered so we could not get through. He deserves to have his license pulled. I think this office and this doctor are great. I have had two root canals in 2 years and he has the best equipment, best manner, and best environment I can imagine for kind of an unpleasant tooth situation. I would recommend him without reservation! Wolfgang Mabry, Santa Fe, NM

Root canal procedure was performed by Dr. Goodis. He was highly recommended to me by my dentist, Dr. Leonard Baca, and the accolade is well deserved. Procedure was performed painlessly, rapidly, and successfully. Dr. Goodis and his technical assistant, who apparently has been with Dr. Goodis for some eight years, worked flawlessly, seamlessly together. The environment was very peaceful and reassuring. The root canal I had through Dr. Goodis was virtually painless as he administered approximately 5 shots of novacaine at the start. He did not offer me painkillers after the treatment even though when I got home the Care Instructions sheet I was given mentioned that I should have received two painkillers. He was not very personable and didn't seem to want to be bothered with questions. Perhaps he was just having a bad day.

Excellent endodontist. Makes a difficult procedure almost bearable. Does not just automatically do a root canal but instead first does a careful evaluation. I've had 5 evals and only 2 of those ended in a root canal so I trust he is in it for the patient and not just the procedures.

Dr. Goodis is very pleasant, professional and thorough. He does not do any treatment unless necessary. This is a rarity these days. I really feel that he practice with the patient's best interest in mind. He is a very caring Doctor.

My only complaint is that I didn't know how much he was going to charge before he did the procedure so when my insurance did not cover any of his charges, I paid close to $1000 for one tooth! Then, in less than a year, the tooth started bothering me again. So, the $1000 wasn't worth the trouble. I would have rather had the tooth pulled out.
