High tea was a fantastic experience overall. For the price, the food and tea was very average (and imo overpriced). But also you get a glass of champagne with the event, and we ordered espresso martinis which were very tasty. The historical building is elegant and added to the experience. The manager was extremely gracious and helped us out when there was an issue with our RSVP. Would recommend it as a one time experience for sure.
I paid $252 for three people for afternoon tea at Goodalls, and it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. The portions were extremely small, the pastries were stale, and the sandwiches were subpar at best. Even the strawberry garnish was old, and the flower on our table was wilted—not exactly the atmosphere you’d expect for a premium afternoon tea. Absolutely had one of the best meals in my life here a couple weekends ago! Quite and cozy restaurant, with great staff and great drinks!
Had the filet and it was delicious- the potato cakes were creamy and wonderful- beautifully served too. Maggi was our server and so amazing!
