Came in to do a Christmas High Tea in 2024 and it was amazing! The service was outstanding, the food was plentiful and delicious. I remember there were multiple trays with savories and sweets and our party had a wonderful time. We recently tried to replicate this in December 2025 and were unfortunately severely disappointed. I had brunch here with my girlfriends. The food was fine, the atmosphere was fine. Overall just fine, nothing to write home about nothing to complain about. I paid my bill without closely reviewing because the number and type of items was correct. But something told me to look again- and the biscuits priced as 8 dollars on the menu were charged at 18 dollars! We had tea here. It was good and the staff were pleasant.
TL;DR: Repeated issues with unanswered phones, extremely slow service despite an empty dining room, defensive staff, and inaccurate gluten-free labeling. Kitchen does not seem to understand their own menu. I won’t return and don’t recommend trying it. I made a reservation at Goodall’s after a matinee at Austin Playhouse (it’s only ~300 ft away).
