Even though I was already a patient, I was told the doctor required me to come into the office in person to be seen by him, prior to scheduling a colonoscopy. When I pointed out that my age put me at risk for infection with COVID, this fell on deaf ears. In fact the woman with whom I spoke was hostile. The office staff are incompetent. I confirmed my referral authorization with FloridaBlue two weeks prior to the appointment. Dr. Gonzalez didn't have it two days before. I called FloridaBlue again and got the authorization number. They were late for my appointment (first one after lunch) and told me they still don't have the authorization. I responded that I am doing all the work. The Office Manager told me "If you're not happy, you can go somewhere else." So I will. Don't go. Horrible.
It's very difficult to schedule an appointment with this Dr. I have called and tried to schedule an appointment for several days and everytime i called they put me in hold for more than ten minutes until i get tired and hang up.... this is unacceptable for a new patient.
Best GI in Miami, very satisfied with my visit.
