This is by far the worst Gold's gym in the DMV area. It's seriously neglected by the owners when compared to Dupont or Georgetown or any of the other Gold's nearby. Much of the equipment is older than the other gyms. They keep raising the rates, likely to pay for these brand new expansions, but this gym doesn't see much in the way of renovations. I’ve been a member at Gold’s Gym Van Ness for a while now, and overall, I really do love this gym. The people are great, the community vibe is strong, and the new management - especially Logan - has been a big positive change. Logan is present, approachable, and clearly doing his best with what he’s given. You can tell he actually cares about members and wants the gym to run well, which goes a long way. Excellent value. Free parking. Facilities are good. Spacious weight room downstairs, but for some reason the water fountain has been broken for 6+ months despite multiple inquiries How hard is it to hire a handyman to fix it?
