When COVID hit, I stopped going to the gym for safety reasons. I returned briefly, but quickly stopped again because they weren’t following any COVID safety protocols. Despite not visiting for months, they kept charging me membership fees. When the payments eventually stopped coming out of my account, the manager threatened to send my file to collections—even though I hadn’t used the facility in over six months.
