We bought a house that had golden windows. We moved in when the house was 6 years old. The previous owner replaced over 10 windows and we had to replace 3-4 every year until warranty ran out. Now we are just letting them go bad and will replace them all with better windows. The glass fails and gets moisture in between. We have had some that require new frames as well. Highly recommend looking at other options.
I have golden windows and I thought they were great when I first moved in to the home, but over a short period of time I found I had to replace them as water, etc. was leaking in. I’ve noticed a few of the windows are not true and square and have bows in the frame which is allowing the moisture to get in. Update: One of our windows has now had a structural failure where the center frame completely detached when we opened the window. We purchased a new home that has Golden Windows installed and unfortunately every sliding window allows water to drain inside the interior track of our home anytime it rains – even during very light rain. This has been ongoing for almost 2 years and has been escalated several times. We purchased a new home that has Golden Windows installed and unfortunately every sliding window allows water to drain inside the interior track of our home anytime it rains – even during very light rain. This has been ongoing for almost 2 years and has been escalated several times. Not only do we use Golden Windows for our projects, we used them for our home as well. I have had a few instances where I needed service on our home's products, and I have never been disappointed with their customer service. They schedule you in and show up on time, every time. On the business side, we have gotten to know our delivery guys and they are the best. Rick H is a great Sales Rep as well.
