Most of my experiences in coffee shops are an exercise in maintaining self-esteem as baristas disdainfully show absolutely no interest in making me feel welcomed. That's why Golden Thyme is my new favorite cafe in St Paul. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was old friends with everyone I met. Golden Thyme is by far the best community cafe in the Twin Cities, Whether you need a cup of strong, hot coffee to get you through a couple hours of work, a sweet, iced drink to have over conversation with a neighbor, or some of the most fresh breakfasts and southern soul food lunches, Golden Thyme has it. A great community gathering place where all are greeted with kindness and respect. Their loaded hash browns are the best and coffee os always hot and tasty.
Golden Thyme is without question the best spot in the Summit / University area for your morning coffee and southern soul style breakfast. You're treated like a valued patron each and every time you walk in. A soothing atmosphere with a traditional Jazz theme just how I like it. Great coffee and great conversation.
Delicious Tuna Sandwich!! Specialty Coffee was scrumptious! Cozy environment with Fantastic Art Displayed!
The toasted tuna sandwiches were delicious as was the coffee...we dashed in out of the rain to grab and go. Next time we're going to stay for breakfast and some of the dirty grits. The cashier/server was super friendly and accommodating. We loved the cozy feel of this place.
friendly people, good jazz music, breakfast is good, not expensive
10 star service with a family atmosphere , I've always loved coming here, as this is one of the places I can get a lot a lot of work done, great meeting place ... And did I forget to mention I haven't had a bad dish yet !!!!!! Everything on their menu is good ....
