I wish I had read the reviews before choosing to get glasses here. Terrible service. Overpriced lenses. Rude employees (except for one, maybe two). Overall horrible (never-ending) experience. These people obviously do not like their jobs or perhaps their employer, and this comes through in the service and attitude. They didn't even make sure the glasses fit my face when I picked them up. Golden Optical has the best staff!!! – I went into Golden Optical recently because I desperately needed a new pair of glasses. I got an appointment with Dr. Schmitt very fast and he was extremely knowledgable and of course very friendly. I also was helped by Jessica and she made this process easy. She helped me with my insurance, and selecting a frame that not only looked amazing, but also complemented my facial features. Rude Office Staff – I never had a chance to meet the doctor. The women working in the office had me chased out of there in 2-3 minutes! Very rude and stuffy! They must make enough off of their over priced glasses (taking that from other entries) that they can afford to be rude and chase off a customer or two,......
Great people, great service – Over almost 20 years, George & his wife and Melody are like family. Dr. Nelson does a thorough job making sure my vision is well corrected. Melody knows what frames and features fit my style and life. They know my insurance coverage better than I do and make sure I get all the coverage I'm due. There are a lot of options for optometric services, but Golden truly shines.
What are you talking about? – I've been a customer for just about 5yrs. Dr. Nelson is great, and the staff is always friendly. When I call they answer my questions promptly. They really know what they are doing, and are very professional. I don't know their names, but the girl w/the long dark hair, the older gentleman, and the Dr. are the people I usually deal with. Don't understand all the negativity – I have been a customer at Golden Optical for about 10 years and have never had any of the problems people talk about here. I got an appointment quickly, the doctor was on time/thorough and I got really great one-on-one attention from Jeffrey when it came time to pick out my glasses. They always check to see what my insurance covers so there are no surprises and I can budget accordingly. I will remain faithful to this business for the quality of care I have received over the last decade.
We write our own reviews...nice... – Hi, I'm the front desk person, and I'm sitting here writing a good review for my company because I'm bored, and doing my job is just too bothersome.... Don't go here! The manager is a wench who hates her life and her job. I won't ever return. BIG mistake.

Great use of punctuation... – My wife and I went to Golden Optical twice, spanning the course of about three or four years. The customer service has always been mediocre or less, depending on who helps you. It is true, Melody is atrocious!
