great low key hotel – my parents were just in town and i found this reasonable hotel for them to stay. it was very clean and homey. they enjoyed the atmosphere and felt very safe. the locations is also wonderful and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. great cheap and simple place to stay.
Charming B&B in the heart of SF... – This is the second time my mother and I have stayed at this hotel, and we love it! It reminds us of the wonderful European B&B's we have stayed in. For the area (walking distance to all major tourist areas), the price cannot be beat. The rooms are quiet, clean, beds are comfy, and we enjoyed our mornings with deliciously strong coffee, croissants, and fresh OJ-brought to our room by the gracious proprietor. A wonderful experience all around!

Uniquely wonderful – I love this hotel! It's unique decorations, croissants for breakfast and friendly service keep me coming back. Even the location is ideal - close to Chinatown, North Beach, downtown, cable cars, etc. And it's affordable. There are only a few areas this hotel falls short. Rooms are tiny and some don't have bathrooms. Also, if you're traveling with someone who's allergic to cats they might not want to stay here.
