I bought the rivet press specifically to use with leather, based on the company's video that claims that it could punch clean holes and install rivets easily. In reality, the hole punch die doesn’t even punch through leather. I've tried different types and thicknesses, applied significant pressure, and followed all instructions — nothing works. Steer clear of this place! Currently I'm dealing with what seems to be them scamming my workplace after purchasing a bartacker. First, they did a last minute switch and sent us another machine that was"just as good”. It turns out that they don't actually sell this model on their site. The machine is defective and has failed to work after very light use. They have been very difficult to communicate with and don't seem interested in resolving the issue. Three years ago I purchased a brand new sewing machine from this David. It came without assembling instructions. I sent several emails, I called them, they promissed to send the manual to assemble it. It never came. Once you pay for it, forget about your money!
