I had a relatively small job for Mike and his crew, but they were more than willing to accommodate. Golden Bear removed and reinstalled my system for a re-roofing project when the original installer was un-interested in helping out. Other companies quoted astronomical prices for a such a simple job. Golden Bear's quote was reasonable and transparent, and they were amazingly flexible on scheduling around our roofing project. Crew was clean and professional. Highly recommend!
Was a pleasure working with Mike Thompson & Golden Bear Solar for our solar PV (10kw) + Enphase battery (20 kwh) set-up in Palo Alto. From the first contact for getting the proposal till the final installation, Mike was straightforward and good to work with. Called these guys repeatedly to come out to do some required maintenance on an existing system. Mostly ignored my calls and messages. Finally got a call back, they promised to follow up but never did.
Great experience before, during and after the installation of Enphase panels, batteries and switchgear. Mike and his crew were always responsive and exceeded expectations.
I had to get my solar installation batteries re-installed, and arranged with Golden Bear to do it. After the batteries arrived, they detoured from another job, arriving in 30 minutes, installed the batteries, fixed some serious problems with the original install (not Golden Bear), described every step in the process, and took the old batteries away. We now have batteries that work!
