Gold's Gym at its finest! – The facility is gorgeous! They have a cafe in the front to get all your protein shakes/bars, they offer any class you could possibly imagine, and the employees are extremely friendly. If you're shopping for a gym, look no further. This is the best gym around, hands down.

GREAT GYM – Just moved to midtown and been doing some GYM shopping in the area.. Looked at Equinox, Club H, NYSPC and quite a few other's...But happen to pass by GOLD's GYM on 54st and WOW...what a totally different VIBE....They had FUnky Music and it seemed to have a different energy about the place..I couldn't Believe the Amount of Classes they had to offer..Everything from Pilates, Yoga, boot camp, ab assault and couldn't believe it was all included..The last gym you had to pay extra for classes...Great stuff...They reall... read more

Best Kept Secret – When I started looking for gyms to join, I feel like I looked at every sports club in NY, from the cramped, crowded, and dirty 'gym' for $50 a month one block from my house to Equinox, NY Sports Clubs, Chelsea Piers, other "Y"s, the Parks Department facilities, etc. For the price I paid, this gym is by far the best deal for what you get. Best Gym In the City – Love, love this gym. The whole place looks and feels Brand New. Coming from Equinox, I've been spoiled but this place gives the same service at about 1/2 the price. The new managment has here had some issues at 1st but now it's perfect. if you like a place that actually motivates you to work out then this is the place. Highly recommend it!!!

What a difference! – This place is like brand-new. Awesome workout experience because you feel like its clean, new and modern but then you have the classic tough Gold's Gym vibe. love it here.

Best Deal In Town – I love this gym! Over the past two years, the whole place has gotten a facelift. All the cardio equiptment is new, the bathrooms, showers, floors, lights, front desk- everything is new!!!! And they are the only gym in the city with 3 squat racks and four leg presses- the weight room is huge! The staff is great, the place is clean, and the price is right.

I was a member for 6 years of Gold's Gym Midtown West. Recently, I signed up for a new contract, but was transferred out of state for work. The gym came under new manager would not give me any sort of refund even though it's in the contract that they must. I have tried numerous ways to get my money back apart from small claims court, but so far I've I lost out on $1200. I would not recommend this gym. The new owner was incredibly rude and not scrupulous. It has been very disappointing after I had been a member for so long.

All around good gym – If you are into free weights this is a good gym for you, lots of equipment all around. They have exercise classes as well. Staff is nice and the gym is kept clean and in good condition. They have specials all year long and you can find some very affordable deals.

Avoid Gold's Gym on 54th – Finally left this horrible gym. The owner is terrible. Shortened hours and services. Equipment is broken alot. Garish harsh lighting. Staff turns off music 30 minutes before closing. Surly staff-many of them fat and out of shape. And get this: if you want to cancel, you have to actually MAIL in a letter. Not tell someone in person or fill out a form in the gym. MAIL A LETTER. Sounds like shady business practices to extend payments or deny cancellation.
