Our AC quit cooling late in the afternoon. We called Gold Mech to schedule repairs. The scheduler listened to our issue and offered to send somebody out that evening. It wasn’t an emergency so we scheduled it for the next day. They told us what time they would be here. A slot opened up earlier in the day so they called and offered it to us. I have used GoldMech for many years and have had good experiences until late. About a year ago, I had issues with my A/C unit and called for service. As usual, they promptly sent a technician to diagnose the problem. It was about 3:30 P.M. when he showed up. He did several checks and said there was a short in the thermostat wire that caused the circuit board to burn out. He said HE would send the people that did that type of work to run a new thermostat wire. I immediately had reservations about that. A thermostat wire does ... read more

We havw used Gold Mech for many years now. They are the best AC company in the CSRA. With employees like Matt, they will aways be the best. Matt answered our call in a time of need and came through. Not sure about their HVAC service, but if it’s as bad as their driving, I would look somewhere else. Driving unsafely and cutting people off with your company truck isn’t a great look. Probably in a rush to get to those late appointments others have commented on.
