The decor here is definitely unique, with World War II paraphernalia and antique signs covering the walls among many other interesting artifacts. There are tons of beers from all over the world available, and it is a good thing because the dizzying decor may drive you to drink. There are several rooms, as well as an outdoor patio where one can soak up the Costa Mesa sun. It is a little bit of a dive bar, but the decor makes up for any seediness.

Dive bar If you like peanut shells on the floor and a huge beer selection this is the place to go. I don't always feel welcome by the other clientel that goes there but the Helm is always next door!
Keep The Goat Weird!! You've got to appreciate this place for what it is! Don't come looking for a fancy Newport Beach Bar, it is a dive ... a wonderful, wonderful dive!! Great selection of beers, very diverse crowd and best of all shuffle board!!!

Great place This place is a good spot to try and hook up. They have a nice atmosphere and the people there are all ready to have fun. Drinks are alright, like other places they make it just strong enough.
Large selection of beer Go here while waiting for your movie to start across the street! Peanut and beer if what you'll find here. They have a very large selection of beers on tap. Worth your time if you'd like to make a quick stop. PROS: CONS: Plastic mugs (sure people break more glass, but still, it changes the beer)

OMG the bar tender is alsome. staff is nice, great all around had lots of fun hanging out.
