The only reason why I gave a 2 star and not 1 star review is because I enjoyed the staff at the Polo Club. Any problems I had with the apartment was fixed and in a timely manner. My issue is with my exit of the property and GMS Management. During my 2 year stay, i was informed that i had an over payment of almost 800.00. I was given an option to use the over payment toward my next months rent; i opted to save it until I left to have some savings. I have been with this company for years. They somehow lost my money order i sent for the rent and are trying to make me pay it again!! This is the most assisnine establishment I have EVER dealt with. I am not paying it again, as I have the receipt. I am bringing my lawyers into this dilemma because I am 100% NOT in the wrong here. You can't just expect me to burn a $601 mo. I worked for GMS Management and all I can say is that this company is absolutely the worst management Company. All of there apartments have bed bugs and flood. The employees at GMS are all rude and disrespectful. I was let go because I had compassion for the tenants and could not believe how the tenants were being treated. I had something(box) stolen on my front door and the maintenance men was outside ask him if he knew anything he had no clue, I had a feeling he took it cause I put other package outside to see if he would take it i was home and waited and i heard the buzzer and looked through the peak hole and sure enough he did, unreal! called corp left message, and that's not all, These 2 maintenance men on the property that I live on, is terrible they do nothing but walk around and then you don't see them on prope... read more
THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST COMPANY EVER TO RENT FROM !!!!!! When I first came to sign my lease I had just come into a settlement due to a divorce which I used to pay for the entire year up front. Before having the certified check made out I asked the management to add up EVERYTHING for the year so that I wouldn't have to worry about anything as I am a disabled single mom and I live paycheck to paycheck. Do not ever rent here. The landlady is very rude. They give you no notice of anything going on. Very unprofessional. This is 3 years going on at Summer Tree in Metor and the place has gone down hill since there is a new lady in the office. They can't keep a Maintance guy on payroll. The yard is basically a swamp. I get electrocuted everytime I turn on a light. They have no water pressure and holy crap the spiders and other bugs they are suppose to spray for. HORRIBLE COMPANY! Chiming In... – I've lived at a GMS Management property for 1 year. My lease was up this month and when I called the office to let them know I wouldn't be re-newing, they asked what they could do to keep me as a tenant. I suggested lowering my rent, and the office manager said she'd call the main office to see what she could do. RUN AWAY – I normally don't ever do this but i feel everybody should hear this. GMS Management is the most poorly ran company I have ever encountered. I am a tenant of one of their apt buildings and have had nothing but issues. I have had a plugged sink for weeks and had to repair it myself and found a knife in there from a prior tenant. I had the hot water tank fail after 2 months of living there and was charged 100 $ fee to have it installed and was not reimbursed for the charge. the refrigerator failed after 4 months and ... read more
