Dr. Axlelrod released me back to work after fourteen days without knowing the extent of my injuries. My workers comp got cut in half. He informed WC insurance there was no evidence of a rotator cuff tear. After three months of pain and unable to work he ordered an MRI which showed multiple tears of tendons.off the bone. His care for me could not have been any worse. I had to switch doctors. My next doctor ordered emergency surgery.
Had a horrible experience with shoulder surgery. Did an open surgery, didn't send me to PT in time after and ended up with a frozen shoulder. Rude, condescending bed side manner, couldn't take the time to read my PT charts. Ended up going to Crouse for another surgery.
Dr.Axelrod is the first doctor to completely explain the procedure that I was having done also he gave options before surgery. He is extremely knowlegable in his field. I would recommend him with out any hesitation to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgon.
Dr Axelrod speaks to you in a confident way, not an arrogant way. He listens, advises and always asks for your input so that together you can reach a decision as to how to proceed with your care. He will do whatever he can to make you comfortable and prolong surgery until it is absolutely necessary. I travel over 50 miles to his office and find it is worth it.
