RecommendedWe had a wonderful, relaxing time at Glenmore Resort. LeRoy and Nancy are great hosts, so friendly and helpful. And thanks to Caleb, too, for all of his help. We loved Cabin #6, The Wildflower. It had all the amenities you would every need. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Lake Vermilion.

Family of 4: 2 adults, 2 children (ages 3 and 1) and 2 small dogs (teddy bear and French bulldog) I would describe our stay as underwhelming for the price. For $308/night totaling just shy of $700 with taxes for a 2 night stay, I can't lie in saying I was hoping for a little more. The cabins, accommodations and amenities are fine... but not anywhere near these prices. A little sprucing up would better justify the cost. Our biggest disappointment of all were the beds. Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay/bed. We have not received any complaints about our beds and especially not just to get a discount. We have received many compliments though. You said you were having a great time during your stay, except at check out. I personally checked your beds and found nothing wrong. Your husband said he has had back problems and I recommend that he seek medical attention. I don't know which Glenmore Resort these negative posts are from. Certainly not the one we are staying in. This place is great! Similar to another post we are looking to stay up here permanently! Until that happens we will be staying here again! Thanks Leroy!

The setting, the lake, the rustic cabins, the proprietors, and Ruger can't be beat! You won't be disappointed with your stay. The Glenmore is in God's country, the area has more to do that you'll have time for, and the fresh air (and fresh caught walleyes - or maybe a grouse in season) will help you sleep like a baby! LeRoy and Nancy will take care of you...
Our stay was in the early fall after attending the Tall Ships in Duluth in 2016. I know that this is rather a late posting but I am known for not being prompt nor timely! We arrived actually early and Leroy and Nancy were very accommodating. The cabin was truly a North Woods cabin with a quiet surrounding. Ruger "camp retriever" was a loving Lab who was ready for a pet or for some ball retrieving! Leroy and Nancy were always available for questions and advice. We enjoyed our 2 day stay so very much.
