I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but I have to warn others with my experience and I was unable to reach whoever is in charge of the salon with my concerns directly. I went in for a hair cut just over 3 weeks ago, after getting a recommendation. I saw one of their junior stylists, who I cannot name because it may lead to my post being taken down, but she had told me she was returning to cutting hair after being away for a while. Bomb spot. Love the staff, the history, the funky vibe, the inclusivity and the talented and friendly stylists. I don't even live in SF anymore but every time I'm in town I make a point to get my hair done there.
Shelley did a terrible job. She gave my friend dead ends on the shorter parts of her hair. She did not listen to my friend and neither did she follow any of the references she showed her. There was no layering done even though my friend had clearly asked for it. She made her feel bad for describing what she wanted. All this for $120. Overall very poor service and would not recommend.
Great vibe, low price.
