About this business

The drive of the culinary entourage at Girl & The Goat gets its inspiration from the persistent animal that is now their not-so-concealed mascot. Specializing in locally-sourced and organic produce, this restaurant follows the farm-to-table philosophy to the tee. Vegetables, seafood and meat are cooked up in fun, imaginative ways, minus the compromise on variety. Going by the name, the goat dishes are sure to tantalize your taste buds. While the menu changes with the season, the vibe remains unchanged. The exposed beams, woo... read more

My go to place when I'm in Chicago. Great vibe great staff and the food is just fantastic. Been a fan of Steph since Top Chef!! I hope she kills it on Iron Chef. BTW, Little Goat Diner is great too.

We went there for our anniversary celebration last night! The cocktails were spectacular and the food even better! We ordered the potato pierogies twice...special mention for our servers, they were knowledgeable and not overbearing at all :)

I'm a consummate foodie... this food was simply outstanding! Don't miss the duck tongue, and the braised goat shoulder was tremendous; flavorful, tender, and complex flavors. Our waiter was very attentive, and made the evening truly enjoyable. Now, here's my suggestion; a throw down! Chef Izard vs Chef Katie Button of Curate & Nightbell in Asheville, NC, on neutral ground, here in Houston, Texas. I'll bet Chef Chris Shepherd of Underbelly would host! Proceeds to benefit the winner's charity of choice!! If you say this intere... read more

The most amazing food, well worth getting a reservation 3 months in advance. Perhaps the best meal we've had, ever. Whimsical, interesting, delicious menu, offered by our awesome waiter, Rodrigo (thanks for my birthday dessert!). Get the cauliflower. You won't regret it. And the pig face, weird as it sounds. Absolutely the best way to end our weekend in Chicago.

The empanadas are magnificent . Our server Lee is helpful and very good:) My personal favorite was the cauliflower, which was decadent with a texture that surprised and delighted. The drink I had, was marvelously balanced. Awaiting my desserts with childish anticipation. Come you will find a wonderful meal and time .
