RecommendedWanted to give a shoutout to an old favorite, Giovanni’s in Munster. 6 of us had a holiday lunch there. We’ve been patronizing this place for at least 20 years. It hasn’t changed much over those years(a good thing imo). We reserved a table in the lounge area, we arrived and the room was full. I was worried service would be poor, it was not. We always have a great time at Giovanni's! especially when the piano player is there! Good times! Great food!
How have I lived in the region all of my life and never been here until last night? The food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was even better. We sat in a booth in the lounge. They had live piano music that was a nice touch. It was kind of like taking a step back into the 1970s. We ordered a bottle of wine, appetizers and dinner. We were served in a non rushed fashion. Train your staff to actually pay attention to the customers. Food nearly an hour to arrive, multiple things were incorrect, waitresses were EXTREMELY rude and did not listen to us, and took over 30 minutes to get the check. Waitresses did not seem to know what they were doing, and seemed entirely disinterested in serving us. It's sad to see such a good restaurant decline like this have such awful service. Will not be coming back again.
Can’t say more than 5 stars. Great service and great food every time I came. So much yum 😉
