Got my haircut today by Joseph at the Pacific Beach location. Haircut itself is neither here nor there. Shorter than I would like but technically well done I suppose. Will not be returning because he told me that I “look tired” and “should smile more” and he didn’t enjoy today because I didn’t smile and I was tired. Wouldn’t have tipped at all but the system prompted for a 20%, 22%, or 25% tip.
This location has some excellent stylists! I usually go to the downtown location but decided to try this one out. I have to say you can always trust Gio & Gio

If you’re a pretty girl with pretty hair don’t go here. I'm sharing this not to be unkind, but because as someone who also works in the beauty industry (licensed esthetician) , I know how much trust clients place in a stylist's hands and I believe that trust should always come with real accountability and oversight.
