Diamond in the rough. I’ve been going here for decades. My mother and I spent a lot of time buying plants from Bob and his family.
We absolutely love Gindhart. Their prices are great and the owner is amazing, she is always so helpful and friendly.
Worst place to go. They are racist and homophobic. They delete reviews of people calling them out and stay silent instead of addressing the situation. Never returning here again and I’ll make sure to spread the word. They lost so many people as customers, rightfully so.
From a friend: PSA: Today was the first and LAST time I’ll be going to Gindhart Nursery. ❌❌❌ While it is beautiful, and there are a lot of cool (mostly outdoor) plants. While we were checking out we started chatting with Mayra, the owner. I offered to come do help do some physical work for her, and mentioned she’ll remember me from my purple hair. The conversation took a very sad, disappointing turn as she began to tell us about two “lesbians that were all over eachother and it was so gross.” I kid you not this woman talked ... read more
Hard pass until the owners/management/community come to terms with the fact that we now live in the 21st century and their awful views on other human beings need some updating
Deleting posts and comments won’t make the racism and homophobia displayed go away.
