Fabulous first experince with John Gillis and it was amazing. He repaired my antique platinum wedding ring and wedding bands. Not only did he do an amazing repair, the price was amazing and he got in done in ONE DAY! It was 2-5 days faster than many of the other places I called. I will be coming back! Thank you so much!
just awesome. from the first meeting to design and select rings to our wedding day (when i needed some links taken out of my watch that morning), john and his team were amazing. rings are beautiful and perfect. so glad to have a jeweler here in tuscaloosa!

I took my engagement ring in for an appraisal. Mr Gillis told me my center stone was less than 1 carat and he would put a value of $1500 on the ring. Fortunately I did not fall for it and left. The center stone is GIA certified 1.01 carats VVS1 with an E color. The ring appraised for $9000.

John Gillis went the extra mile for me, reworking a necklace I had commissioned when it did not work out quite as envisioned. I love his work, having a couple of pieces, both stock and custom, and look forward to finding more treasures in his shop.
