Im completely upset on how awful you treated a person with a service dog.... she has proven paperwork and a registered service dog. completely unprofessional....its completely heart breaking for her.... you should be ashamed...hope you get fined...
Completely breaks the law by not allowing a service dog into facility Service dogs ARE covered and allowed in restaurants by the Americans with disabilities act. You can be fined up to $10,000 for your refusal to allow medical equipment into your restaurant and a service dog is medical equipment.
This restaurant breaks the law by not allowing trained service animals on the premises.
This restaurant violates ADA laws by refusing to admit service animals. They refused to allow a service animal who was wearing the exact same service dog designation patch depicted in an image on their site. ADA law prevails over state law. Shame on you Gillies Coney Island Restaurant.
I watched 3 different tables come in after us and all got their food before us.
very nice young lady with a service dog was told to leave this establishment... her service dog is to save her life. way to treat someone, with an animal that is legal to bring into any establishment may I add, like they are an inconvenience.
My fully trained service dog and I were kicked out of Gillies. The owner told me that to have any animal on HIS restaurant is a health code violation. I tried to pull up the ADA law regarding service animals but I was too upset and left on tears. This was one of my favorite restaurants but I will never again return to somewhere who discriminates against people with disabilities. I have filed complaints with the DOJ, ADA, and Michigan civil service. If you or anyone you love has a disability I would avoid this place
