Good food and good atmosphere
I tried the lobster BLT for the first time. It was delicious!
Gilbert's Chowder House severs up the BEST clam chowder in Portland!
Delicious! We came to Portland for a weekend trip from Ohio and I had to get clam chowder while there. Gilbert’s chowder was so good!

Solid food and the ambience was exactly what I was looking for in a quaint New England fishing/port town. Layed back down home cooking... Try the seafood chowder with huge chunks of lobster!😋
Robin was our server. It was good to see her and hear that much of the staff was still employed there, since it had been like two years since my last chow fest. Killah chowdah as always. See you on the patio when the seasons change!
