They just didn't really give good therapy
We've been coming to GIL for several years and have had a positive experience with each clinician we have worked with. Highly recommend.
I can tell the therapists throw their whole heart into their work. They’ve been so helpful. 5 stars!!!
RUN! As other reviews have stated, this is not a safe place for children. My son's were seeing one of their co-founders, a Jennifer Shaw, who had been practicing at The GIL Institute since it's origins and testifying in Court, under oath, as to her licensure and qualifications. When it became clear to me that she was not honest, nor working for my son's best interests, I investigated her through the Virgnia Board of Psychology. The counselor seemed good at first a nd we started family counseling, but our son started to exhibit the trauma based problems we see at home and his counselor couldn't deal with it. Very very disappointed.
