Dr. Girgis is a phenomenal, intelligent and knowledgeable doctor. For years 1994 - 1997 I saw numerous neurologists who could not diagnose my condition. In 1997 my primary care physician referred me to Dr. Girgis. I went to see Dr Girgis who was able to identify my frontal lobe seizures place me on medication and I have not had another seizure.
Dr. Girgis is an extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, and compassionate physician. I recommend her highly
This doctor misdiagnosed me with anxiety and attempted to make me think my symptoms were all in my head. Took a few more neurologists & a few more YEARS but one eventually actually bothered to do testing. My spinal cord is being severed internally by a mass & spinal fluid backing up into my brain. After the amount of times she accused me of being an psych case in my medical records it’s a miracle it only took ten more years to find a doctor who would consider anything different. I had the misfortune of having to this "doctor" as my neurologist during an inpatient stay for seizures. The first attending MD I saw as well as the EEG technician said my symptoms and seizures appear as textbook epileptic seizures. The first time she came in she informed me that the video portion of the EEG is useless. She then came back and told me my seizures were not epileptic and lamictal helped because I had a "mood disorder". Then asked my DAD if I was suicidal to "keep me safe". TERRIBLE
