I am so surprised to see any negative reviews! Dr. Girgis was the neurologist who actually provided the care I needed. There had been many people who had dismissed me and told me what I was experiencing was not be neurological. Dr. Girgis listened to me and did the tests that found the answers to my problems. The problems are neurological and we have found positive ways to treat it. Due to her respect for me and providing the care that I needed, I have been able to get back on track, returned to work and basic life. I feel l... read more
Superb. Extremely attentive, knowledgeable, thorough.
My experience with this doctor was so awful I worry about what harm she is doing to other patients. Seriously beware of this physician. If you have to see her prepare for rudeness and dismissal. Protect yourself! I wish I had never met her and her diagnosis was wrong and it made my health worse.
Dr Girgis is friendly, respectful, personal, compassionate, professional, intelligent, and informative. She explains issues, conditions, and treatment options clearly and understandable without dumbing anything down. She spends as much time with you as is needed and does not rush you out. She wants to be sure that you leave her office without having anything misunderstood or confusing.
Saw Dr. Girgis at the NWH Emergency Department and was in tears after she left. She seemed more concerned about impressing the intern next to her than recognizing my concerns. She had zero answers or theories as to the source of my progressive pain. And she talked down to me when I shared my thoughts saying that I wasn't a doctor and that I shouldn't attempt a differential diagnosis. She appeared to not have read my chart prior to speaking with me. And then she suggests I should schedule a follow up visit with her. I can't i... read more
The Doctor was 1/2 late for an e-appointment. No timely calls from her office on any delays. And when she finally came on and initiated the call, and I mentioned the importance of keeping patients informed, she rudely communicated that I was her last appointment and she was doing me a favor. Very dismissive style which is contrary to the style of most doctors .
have some complicated health issues and when I saw Dr. Girgis they were yet to be diagnosed. I saw alot of doctors during that time, many understandably baffled by the symptoms I was experiencing. She was the only doctor who was cruel. She dismissed my symptoms (constant pain, flexibility, trouble standing, dizziness, Etc) and said it was anxiety. I sat on front of her and said "I've had anxiety my whole life it doesn't make seeing and standing like this". She spoke down to me and addressed my companion "she can't hear me bu... read more
Went to her after ER visit. Had been struggling with debilitating neurological symptoms after being a previously healthy 21 year old. She was very dismissive, when I complained about arm pain and weakness said “nothing is wrong with your arms”. Spent the day crying on the phone with my mom because I was so done with Not knowing what was happening to me. 2 weeks ago I tested positive for Myasthenia Gravis. So yeah part of this review is a “I told you so”. Listen to your patients.
Dr. Girgis was very nice but beyond that I do not have many compliments for her treatment. I have had migraines for 10+ years and when the first prescription she had me try did not work, she immediately began to assume I have an undiagnosed anxiety disorder and that my migraines are not real. The prescription also raised by heart rate to over 100bpm but Dr. Girgis insisted I stay on it even though it was not working.
