As a caregiver for my husband following his stem cell transplant I was reluctant to stay in a group home for fear of lack of privacy. For my husband's sake, however, who really wanted to share this time of recovery with others experiencing similar challenges, I agreed to make Gift of Life Transplant House our home away from home. The Gift of Life Transplant House will always hold a special place in my heart. The staff, residents and many wonderful care givers impacted my life for ever during my two stem cell transplants and numerous return visits. I have been truly blessed with renewed health. I could not have been as successful without the wonderful people at the Gift of Life Transplant House.
We stayed at the transplant house while I was in Rochester getting a kidney. Everyone there was so nice and helpful . The other people there for various reasons were super friendly, always asking how I was doing, etc. stayed there again the end of June for checkup and biopsy, same thing, nice, friendly. Would recommend this to anyone that needs it
It is an oasis of calm, welcoming you when you are alone, frightened, and exhausted. The price enables you to stay in Rochester when otherwise you would have to be home. It saved my life.
Was a very great place to stay while I helped my cousin after his kidney transplant. Met some wonderful new friends too!!! They had everything we needed for us to feel at home.
