I was a caregiver for my uncle Duane who had stem cell transplant. The GOL staff are wonderful people. They always asked how he was doing. They really care. Everyone is family. It is a wonderful place. I can't even believe how much the community comes in with a lot from there garden, fresh baked goods, casserole etc. It's just beautiful. Val is a beautiful person on the inside and out.
Last August I received a kidney transplant and it was mandatory to stay in Rochester until they thought I was ready to go home. I was dreading being gone from home for so long..but we chose to stay at the Gift of Life Transplant House, and I realized this was where I needed to be. It is very comfortable, as well as home like. Met some great people. I am extremely grateful this home was available for this purpose. Blessings to all who have and will find comfort there!!
