use to be a nice place but lately they've become jerks especially the manager. their mask policy is ridiculous Theres suppose to be exemptions for people who can't wear them do to medical reasons but they give none. they suggest curbside but some people cant use it and for those who can the thing glitches after seen how the manager acts towards people without mask I'll never use this store again or any giant eagle. other stores aren't like this. but even before these issues they had issues. their pharmacy is horrible! some o... read more
Giant eagle refused two customers at their GetGo location. One which walked up with a drink in hand who then walked out the door after being informed he was not allowed to purchase the drink because he had no mask on. Then myself while wanting to purchase gas and a gift card.

Prescriptions are never ready although they may text you that they are. Lines are long. Only 2 registers open at the pharmacy. One tech will tell you your prescription will be ready in 20 minutes then when you come to pick it up. It is not ready hmmm there was a glitch in the system? Very disgusted with the long lines and disorganization.
they have home delivery which works wonders when you and the whole family are sick.
Pharmacy staff wonderful as always!!
This is the ONLY grocery store that would help me get my daughters formula! The grocery manager(Rob) helped me, and didn’t ask 200 questions! He got me what I needed and the amount I needed. And when I went in to get it I was greeted by a guy named Matt, who was willing to help me with anything I needed! He seen my hands full(holding my two week old baby). Great experience, THANK YOU!
I have been a faithful shopper at Giant Eagle since they first opened in Altoona. I have not liked them as much since corporate took over but still go there. But I may have to stop. Increasingly they force me to buy store brands or not my favorite brands. For some reason I particularly notice it in the pasta and noodle aisle. Now I see they are not going to carry a local dairy. That might be the last straw for me. However, I will continue to buy their fried chicken.
Shop there every Saturday morning, a good many shelves are not stocked. There is always something I’m looking for that they don’t have, this week it was walnuts in the shell. Grapes seem to be fresh only every other week. Only keep shopping there because they let fuel perks accumulate longer than one month.
